Meet Jay Duke

Jay-Duke

Jay grew up in a horse family. His mother Cheryl Anderson has been one of the top trainers in Western Canada for 40+ years, coaching many notable riders such as Mark Laskin, the Chef d’Equipe for the Canadian Show Jumping Team. His father Fred Duke has been a national champion in roping and named to the Cutting Horse Hall of Fame. A four-time Canadian Junior Champion in both the hunter and jumper ring, Jay has an extensive background with horses of all levels and breeds.

In 2014, Jay retired from competition and turned his attention to teaching. Competing and coaching at an international level for 30 years has given him extensive experience working with all levels of horses and riders. Learn more about Jay on his website, blog and Facebook page.
