They Go Like You Ride Them (So Let's Ride Them Better!)
The beautiful thing about riding is that you can always learn more and improve. This clinic will help you understand why the best partnerships are built on a foundation of clarity, consistency, and confidence. If you'd like to deepen your relationship with your equine partner, learn new skills and training exercises, and troubleshoot your unique challenges (plus have fun!), this clinic is for you.
Choose the focus area that best aligns with your goals, and leave inspired, empowered, and with a clear understanding of how to extend the benefits of this training over the long-run.
Session sizes are limited to ensure plenty of one-on-one attention from Jess.
>>> OPTION A: Intro to Ranch Riding (Sat. and Sun. 9 am-12 pm)
- Ranch Riding is one of the fastest-growing disciplines, and it's no wonder why. This low-stress "sampler" style sport combines elements of reining, trail class, and even a bit of cow work to develop truly well-rounded horses.
- If you've never tried Ranch Riding before, or if you want to advance your current skills, this fun introduction is for you. Jess will break down a Ranch Riding pattern, work with you on each activity, and ensure your horse is a willing and dependable partner in all situations. At the end of the clinic, you'll have the chance to perform the full pattern to see how far you've come!
>>> OPTION B: Cow Work // Level 2 (Sat. and Sun. 1-5 pm)*
- If you've attended Jess's Level 1 clinics, Saturday cow classes, or have cow working experience of your own, this Level 2 class is for you. We'll build on the foundation you've already developed with your horse and help both of you challenge yourselves to work cows in new ways through new (and fun!) exercises.
- But, don't worry. You don't need to be a professional or competitor to join our Level 2 class. It's still all about having fun, staying safe, and helping you achieve your personal definition of success!
*SOME prior cow working experience needed (for horse or rider). Registrants should have ridden in one of Jess's Cow Work Basics Level 1 clinics or have prior cow working experience of their own. Cows are provided by Jess Holloway and humanely cared for--and not overworked.
