What's Happening This Weekend
Choose the focus area that best aligns with your goals, and leave inspired, empowered, and with a clear understanding of how to extend the benefits of this training over the long-run.
Session sizes are limited to ensure plenty of one-on-one attention from Jess.
>>> OPTION A: Groundwork Essentials (Sat. and Sun. 9 am-12 pm)
- Horse-human connections are like icebergs—the vast majority of the substance is hidden below the surface.
- Yet, most equestrians focus 95% of their time and effort on riding—not the groundwork essentials that are required for a safe, fun, and strong lifelong partnership.
- This clinic is dedicated to all the hard work that needs to happens before you put your foot in the stirrup.
- Jess will guide you through his proven groundwork routine and explain what each exercise tells you about your horse's physical and mental state.
- You'll learn how to become an effective leader, "read" your horse, and and boost your chances of having the *right* ride.
- Want to take what you learn with you into the saddle? Sign up for our Back to Basics Clinic in the afternoon. It's the perfect next step!
>>> OPTION B: Back to Basics (Sat. and Sun. 1 pm-4 pm)
- Our "Back to Basics" session is designed for anyone who wants to rebuild a more solid foundation with their horse. We'll start by diagnosing underlying issues that may be holding you (and your horse) back.
- Then, Jess will help you reestablish trust, respect, and understanding through a set of core groundwork exercises. Then, you'll keep building on what you've learned in the saddle.
- This class is also great for folks who want to get their horses legged up after time off, are dealing with behavioral issues like spookiness and separation anxiety, or want to "start over" after a bad experience.
- If you take part in the morning Groundwork Essentials clinic, we encourage you to add the afternoon Back to Basics clinic to make the most of your experience!
Vaccines: ALL non-boarders need to send proof of Flu/Rhino and negative Coggins. Strangles vaccine is highly recommended (due to local confirmed cases circulating). Send paperwork to [email protected] by 14 days prior to the clinic date.
